Our teachers understand the importance of this time of life for our students and provide inspiring approaches to learning through dedicated involvement both in and out of the classroom. BBC is as much a second home as an educational deposit of learning and we see ourselves as all segment of one extended family. Boarding is an integral segment of College life and offers a range of experienced teachers and other personnel who are eternal available to promote and aid our boarding students. Our boarding staff handle all aspects of the boarding programmed and provide a firm but caring environment for each student. To encourage a vibrant and safe community which: values all members of our community promotes a sense of community which builds on the traditions of the College encourages the College community to reflect on and embrace Christian values and beliefs whilst promoting respect for the beliefs and values of others. The College’s superior interests include the Board’s governing its various activities by introducing and maintaining superior management practices that sustain the tall quality of educational delivery and assure the long term financial viability of the College as a private education institution. The Foundation’s long objective is to provide for the funding needs of the College over and overhead what is provided by school fees and government grants. The wider learning environment provides for and promotes the spiritual, academic, social, emotional and physical development of every student and provides a range of supple pathways to cater for a student’s individual needs and interests, offering an excellent programmed of academic, vocational, sporting, cultural and social opportunities and experiences for every student. In Year 10, students are encouraged to become more independent learners to prepare them for their end two years of schooling. Year 10 is seen as a bottom year in which students can sample’ senior subjects to assist them in choosing which pathway they would like to receive in the last two years of school. Years 11 and 12 are instrumental in preparing students for life beyond school, helping them identify skills, and construct upon knowledge and accepting for a diverse range of opportunities post school. This means equipping students with a expansive range of traditional academic and technological skills. This equips children with the skills necessary to make informed choices. We foster students to be energetic learners, which means taking an active role in their own learning. Whilst play based learning is very urgent in these years, children are also introduced to set tasks to further thrive their skills for Year 1. The Hasty Years are extremely imperative for learning the essential understandings for coming education. BBC is one of the very scanty schools in Australia to adopt the Arrowsmith Program and the only Australian Boarding School which runs it.
